My Work as a BCI Intern
Black Cultural Initiative is a 501-C3 nonprofit based in Eugene, Oregon that prides itself on serving as a multi purposed hub space for the black excellence.
I have been employed with the organization since June 2025 and have served as a full time social media coordinator! I have made 50+ Posts throughout Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Youtube.
Below shows the work created due to collaboration with peers and executive director, leading to successful events.

Graphic Template
This is a basic graphic template created to launch necessary information for upcoming announcements and events.
Posts are made to social media at least two-three times a week, creating consistent release of information and communication with our publics.

Black Santa Recap Collage
I am the sole creator of this collage which is highlighting the end of a great Black Santa event at the People’s Collective Community Center.
The Pictures were not taken by me, but were edited due to my internship being remote based.

Special Message from the Founder
I had the privilege of trying out a little graphic design for BCI. This graphic highlights a special message by our Founder of the nonprofit, which is an effective way to personally connect with the community.

Informative Infographic
This is an infographic created highlighting where the nonprofit is located in Eugene.
The QR Code at the bottom takes you to the website, with the bottom left highlighting what type of work is done at BCI.
The pictures above capture emotion that would draw the public to our organization, allowing us to serve more.

Celebration Post
This is a social media post, highlighting our instagram page reaching 700 followers.
We want to show our target audience and beyond how much they mean to us by navigating to our page and connecting with us.
Because of this, we have had successful turnouts at our last few events.

Location Based Graphic
I created a handful of location based graphics that show where the action happens.
They make for great social media posts that serve as attention-getters to draw more people to our location.
